Trust me don’t use anyone else but Bismark Tax. I used my tax preparer for two separate IRS audit years because his service included free audit representation. Big mistake, especially seeing my preparer was an Enrolled Agent not a CPA or Attorney like Isai at Bismark. My preparer gave me horrible advice which lead the IRS to drag in a third year to audit which was not smart at all. I of course fired my preparer and hired Bismark Tax immediately. This was the best decision so far. Isai was able to do his magic as a tax attorney and turn my horrible situation into a great outcome. A little background on Isai. His rates are very reasonable. He is very detail oriented and picks up his phone every time I call; unlike my preparer. I can tell that Isai really cares about you and is always looking out for your best interest. He is definitely not like your usual attorney who is all about the $$. I will be recommending Isai to all my friends and family. Don’t make my same mistake. Hire Isai as soon as you receive that dreaded IRS letter in the mail.

I recently went through a divorce and sold my home in the same tax year, and to make matters worse, during the process, I discovered some errors and omissions on my prior tax returns. I can't say enough good things about Isai. My wife and I had been penalized almost $5,000 after we tried to start our own business (LLC). We had our first child and this changed things a bit and we decided to hold off on opening the business, however, we didn't realize we were still liable to file the first year's tax return since we never became operational. With our new baby, hospital bills, and since my wife was laid off leaving me as the only household income, we just had no means of paying this off. Enter Isai.

When I first called Bizmark Tax, I expected a receptionist to pick up the phone, like some of the other places I'd called. At the time, I didn't realize I was speaking with Isai himself! He was very friendly and his personality resonated through the phone. He first listened very attentively to our issue and then explained how he could help. He was very upfront and knowledgeable about the process of getting this type of issue taken care of. Not only that, but his price was the best of the other 5 places I'd called... by far! He offered to meet with me after work hours during the week, but since that didn't work too well with my schedule, he even offered to meet on Saturday when he normally doesn't work.

To make a long story short, we met on Saturday, he called me Monday morning with updates letting me know things were looking good, and by Monday evening he called me back letting me know that the issue had been resolved and that all of our $5,000 in penalties were going to be removed. Unbelievable.

One more note...we received a letter in the mail about 2 weeks later letting us know that our penalties were going to be removed. I texted Isai letting him know, and he got back to me within minutes even though he was on vacation out of the country at the time. Good luck finding this kind of service anywhere else!

Thank you Isai for helping our family out. I don't know what we would have done without you, and now we can put that money towards raising our son to provide him with the things he needs. I would, and do, recommend Isai to anyone -- it's a no brainer. You won't be disappointed. He is great.

I was really rattled after my initial encounter with the IRS auditor, and called Isai after reading some reviews on yelp. He was very helpful, and took my case on, even though it was a rather small amount of tax due. I wanted a tax attorney to handle this, someone to push back against what i saw as an abusive, uncooperative auditing session. Isai not only knocked my tax due down from $6100 to $1950, he confronted this auditor (after confirming my belief that she was being unprofessional) and called her bluff with a possible letter to her superiors, then, after being kicked out of the interview, going back to her (at her request) and getting my numbers cut by 2/3. Thank you, Isai! I will be back. Too bad there's not 6 stars! You would get them from me.

Isai is amazing. He is honest, kind, very thorough and professional. He is super available; he answers his phone a lot and returns calls and emails fast. He will give you an honest assessment about if he can help you. He refused to take money from us because we weren't good candidates for a settlement. He steered us in a different direction and gave us referrals to honest, quality accountants. Before we called Isai, we almost went with a lawyer who asked for money and power of attorney before she even knew the details of our case. Isai, thank you for not taking thousands of dollars from us knowing we wouldn't qualify! You're awesome. I will recommend you to others no question.

Isai Cortez and Jason Peart are the best tax lawyers I could have found. They are knowledgeable, curteous, prompt, and they get results! I spoke with Isai first about my IRS situation. They were asking for $76K for the sale of an apartment. Isai felt very confident that the amount would be lower. The next time, I spoke with Jason who was just as knowledgeable and even more confident that the amount would be lowered. Jason got it DONE! I was recently told that the amount was lowered to $16K! I just want to thank Isai Cortez and his company at Bismark Tax, Inc. I was getting levied from the IRS all the time and they kept garnishing my wages. I heard about Isai from a couple of friends and found him online. Let me just say that if you want a straight up tax attorney in Los Angeles, CA, this is your man. He picks up the phone all the time and answers texts. I mean he was available 24/7. I owed about $50k to the IRS and $15k to the state and hadn't filed taxes for many years. Isai is a great tax attorney and got me an offer in compromise to settle my $50k for about $6k. I am dead serious, I was so excited. I highly recommend Isai. He told me from the gate its going to take you about 6-9 months so I knew what to expect. He's still working on my state stuff, but I am sure he will do great for me.

Isai at Bismark Tax is the best tax attorney in the entire Los Angeles area. I was 8 years behind on my taxes and was, unbeknownst to me, on the short list to have a sheriff come knocking on my door. When I contacted Isai, he called the IRS and when they told him about the sheriff, he was able to freeze that process, quite possibly saving me from some jail time. He was also able to not only get the entire 8 years of taxes straightened out and current but he somehow managed to get me approximately $5,000 of refunds total.. he even knew how to handle my state taxes despite the fact that i had lived in NV for 2 of the years i was behind on. I highly recommend him and will happily refer as many of my friends as possible to him if they need federal IRS or State tax representation.
